Job title: senior designer, footwear (performance) - hoka
Reports to: sr design director, hoka
Location: goleta or portland
We are looking for a senior designer who will help lead the brand into the future, promote design thinking, and assist in the creation of brand-building footwear concepts.
Under the direction of the sr design director of footwear, this person will help build, scale, and lead a creative team, stewarding our brand through the creation of bold innovative productsHelp lead and mentor a team of diverse of designers with various levels of experience.
We’re looking for someone with an accomplished background in delivering consumer-led performance products to a global marketplace, proven knowledge in brand strategy and creative vision, and experience collaborating with a design team.
The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:
1Design high-performance, class-leading footwear on a seasonal basis for multiple categories
2Champion and support hoka’s design principles and brand visual identity across all product while ensuring seamless connection between marketing, design and development.
3Present and articulate how designs meet athlete, consumer and commercial needs

We’d love to hear from people with
Recognized expertise in sports and fitness footwear design.
Bachelor’s degree in industrial design, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Performance footwear design experience with large global athletic brand, advanced understanding of footwear design
People management experience
