Great team members are the key to our success at whyhotelOur talent acquisition team is an integral part of our high growth plans and is a valuable partner to leadership across the organizationAs a collaborative group, the talent acquisition team is responsible for filling a high volume of corporate and property-based roles across the organization while focusing on candidate experience and hiring manager satisfactionWe source and vet candidates for positions including analytics, software engineering, brand management, sales, housekeeping, property management, guest service, executive leadership and moreWe are actively seeking a talent acquisition partner who will support hiring initiatives across property and non-property teams while being a source of expertise for our hiring managersThis position will closely partner with (and report to) the talent acquisition manager to build and execute strategies that attract the very best talentTo be successful in this role, you must be innovative and able to work in a high growth company, be a thoughtful problem-solver and enjoy an ever-changing & collaborative workplaceThis senior talent acquisition specialist’s primary responsibility is to identify, attract, and secure top talent for whyhotel while bringing new ideas to the table and remaining effectively tactical.
Work closely with peers, px (people experience aka hr) partners, and business leaders to plan, develop, innovate, and execute on recruitment strategy
Support requisitions for diverse stakeholders across a variety of business units (real estate, development, operations, building openings, guest experience, and property operations) and levels (entry level through management)
Build networks to develop and maintain a pool of high-quality, diversified, passive and active candidates for all levels and functions
Schedule and conduct interviews and provide a memorable candidate experience during the end-to-end recruitment process
Conduct regular follow-ups with hiring managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans, team partnership, and strategy implementation
Collaborate and build innovative tools that amplify our recruiting efforts including employer branding initiatives, interview strategies and recruiting best practices
Act as a recruitment expert to educate our broader business and drive effective hiring strategies by keeping a pulse on activity in various hiring markets (start-up, hospitality, tech space) across north america and abroad
Train and mentor other team members on best sourcing, recruiting, and candidate closing practices

Be empathetic, persuasive, tactful, and approachable to employees and candidates across business units
4+ years of functional recruiting experience in a full life-cycle environment (startup experience is a plus)
Experience managing high volume recruiting needs as well as specialized corporate and property-based roles
Experience with team mentorship (including interns) is a plus!
Familiarity with one or more applicant tracking system (we use lever)
Competence in sourcing for exceptional passive and active candidates through a wide variety of resources (web, social/professional networks, etc.)
Successful track record in recruiting process development and reporting
Experience building partnerships with hiring managers and key stakeholders
Model excellence in recruiting for the broader team and the business
Strong negotiation and closing skills built on creating strong candidate relationships
Ability to multi-task effectively with a sense of urgency in an ambiguous, dynamic environment and embrace changes as they arise
Capacity for taking initiative and ownership while operating with a high level of independence, rigor, and creativity
Proven ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Team player mentality with a willingness to jump in and help where needed
Comfort in communicating and utilizing your expertise to inspire and influence the organization to action
Top-notch written and verbal communication skills that are clear and direct
