Job profile summary:
The clinical and field experience assistant is a significant member of the clinical experience department whose work has direct impact on team objectives and initiativesThey must have outstanding organization, time management and communication skills with the ability to adapt in a fast pace environmentAs an individual contributor, the assistant is responsible for establishing and maintaining partnerships with stakeholders in support of placement efforts and all associated placement requirementsThe clinical and field experience assistant receives general direction from the immediate supervisor/manager while taking initiative and using independent judgment within standard assignments.
Essential functions and responsibilities:
Collaborate with wgu personnel and outside professionals regarding placement efforts.
Communicate with students to set clear expectations for the placement process and to provide updates throughout the process.
Understand placement guidelines/policies and be able to support students in adhering to the policies.
Assist students with navigating the requirements needed to be cleared for placement.
Communicate via email, meetings and phone calls; cold calling partners or other stakeholders may occasionally be necessary.
Exhibit professional conduct through all interactions as a representative of the company and the department.
Work in a student relations management system.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Tasks are accomplished by following a defined standard or set of procedures to achieve day-to-day objectives with direct impact on the area of specialty.
The work is performed under moderate supervision and consists of routine tasks that may require advice and guidance from more senior personnel in the same area.
Problem solving and decision making:
Reviews solutions and employs minor adjustments to work methods to solve problems that are routine and typically exist in current work processes and systems.
May be required to highlight areas of concerns/problems and offer potential solutions.
Problems and issues faced are generally routine but may require interpretation of procedures or policies to resolve.
Communication and influence:
Communication with contacts within the job area is typical, and information that is provided or obtained may require some explanation or interpretation to reach an agreement.
Leadership & talent management:
May provide minimal guidance and assistance to new or entry-level employees.
Highschool diploma or ged
Requires basic knowledge of standards and processes within a narrow scope of work.
Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of experience.
May require vocational or technical education in addition to prior work experience.
Experience with salesforce.
Experience with clinical placement/scheduling.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Working conditions: this is a pt remote role, monday through friday during regular business hours.
