This position is responsible for supporting fundraising efforts as well as creating and coordinating targeted, multifaceted marketing campaigns throughout southern californiaThe candidate will coordinate closely with the ceo, director of philanthropy, and director of community engagement to implement and manage an effective marketing and communication plan for waldenThe ideal candidate for this role will be a self-starter and be highly effective at working independently.
The graphic design & marketing manager will be responsible for all collateral, including but not limited to impact reports, donor solicitations, brochures, event invitations, event programs, press releases, social media posts, and blogsThe candidate will also be responsible for website updates (word press), email blasts (raiser’s edge), powerpoint presentations, as well as print and electronic ad design and placement.
Qualifications:
Ba/bs in related field preferred, but not required or equivalent experience.
Ability to work from home with regular visits to walden’s inland empire region officesOccasional travel required throughout southern california.
5 years of experience in graphic design, website development, communications, and marketing.
Highly proficient in all adobe applications (especially illustrator, photoshop, etc.,) and word applications (word, excel, and powerpoint).
Excellent communication skills including experience writing for publications and nonprofits.
While graphic design is the primary function of this position, writing, editing, and good proofreading skills are required.
Word press and google analytics experience required.
Strong team player and ability to work with a remote team.
Highly organized and effective when working remotely and independentlyAbility to deliver on deadlines and independently prioritize appropriately.
Must be able to provide dmv driving record printout, have valid driver’s license, registration, and insurance at time of hire.
Must meet all requirements set by community care licensing pertaining to the hiring of employees by a licensed community care facility.

Salary range: $32.00 to $39.00 depending on experience.
