Identify appropriate prospects and cultivate meaningful relationships with targeted new member organizations.
Maintain and grow member relationships, profitability and accountability for all sales activity that occur, measured on growth and bookings which includes executive relationships in the region and serving as sales lead.
Create and deliver high quality, persuasive sales presentations to c-level and other executives.
Prospect, assess and interpret intelligence on new and existing members.
Sales include a variety of vizient offerings such as analytics, consulting, and gpo sales.
Facilitate and ensure delivery of contracting and implementation.
Develop robust pipelines to achieve sales plans.
Lead business development for new member recruitment.
Support the efforts of the client executive during the contract renewal process.
Maintain salesforce for all assigned members, including contact information, active opportunities, and member account plan updates.
Maintain relevant updates of activity within salesforce.
Qualifications:
Relevant degree preferred.
10 or more years of sales/negotiating experience with proven success selling within the health care industry required.
Experience interacting with executives and influencing decisions within the c-suite level required.
Consultative solution-selling experience, providing solutions to complex client issues preferred.
Ability to understand member needs and objectives from a programmatic, financial, technical and organizational perspective desired.
Experience in driving change management desired.
Strong project management skills, including demonstrated ability to think end-to-end, manage long-term projects and manage multiple projects simultaneously desired.
Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet clients’ needs and timetables.
Must reside in the southeast region.
