This role’s mission
Maintaining veg facilities, building systems, and leading regional maintenance teams.
The facility operations manager oversees the maintenance and facility operations management of our buildings and their major systems and equipmentThe facility operations manager also oversees a team of regional facility maintenance providers.
What you can expect to do:
Handle routine facility maintenance programs and schedules
Manage and lead the regional maintenance providers inside of veg
Delegate and follow up on products with a team
Building system specifications and contracts (hvac, security, access control)
Oversee regional and national partnerships with trade professionals
Organize and execute facility orientations with the senior facilities operation manager
Manage repairs and minor construction projects
Direct and advise general maintenance managers and outside contractors
Collaborate with business development on major remodels and construction projects
General facility operations support for hospital managers
Assist or lead special projects as needed

What you should have:
Expert knowledge of overall facilities’ maintenance, system standards, and major equipment
Capable of building relationships with vendor partners and property management teams adept at creating systems and processes
Adequately and successfully can train other team members
Capable of leading a team both on site, and remotely
Skilled at problem solving both large and small issues
Outstanding communication skills
Phenomenal organizational and time management skills
Sufficiently able to independently manage day to day responsibilities, and special projects
Value and respect the importance of professionalism and confidentiality
Willingness to travel around 75% of the time to veg hospitals for various projects and tasks.
Intermediate familiarity with business systems and productivity tools such as microsoft office, g-suite, workplace, smartsheets, and trello
