In this role you will:
Lead the design and execution of vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits.
Participate in the creation of enterprise security documents (policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures).
Participate in the planning and design of enterprise security architecture.
Maintain up-to-date detailed knowledge of it security industry standards, including awareness of new or revised security solutions, improved security processes, and the development of new attacks and threat vectors.
Perform the deployment, integration, and initial configuration of new security solutions and of any enhancements to existing security solutions in accordance with standard best operating procedures generically and the enterprise`s security documents specifically.
Maintain up-to-date baselines for the secure configuration and operations of all devices and systems.
Monitor all in-place security solutions for efficient and appropriate operations.
Review logs and security reports to identify potential risks and remediation actions
Participate in investigations into security events.
Recommend additional security solutions or enhancements that improve overall enterprise security.
Required/preferred experience
Formal education & certification
College diploma or university degree and/or 2-3 years equivalent work experience.
One or more of the following industry certifications preferred:
Comptia security+
Giac information security fundamentals
Microsoft certified systems administrator: security
Extensive experience with security monitoring and assessment tools.
Experience with cloud security best practices.
Familiarity with nist special publications and frameworks (800-171, csf)
Fundamental knowledge of key security concepts including defense in depth, least privilege, and zero trust.
Strong understanding of ip, tcp/ip, and other network administration protocols.
Strong understanding of macos and linux (ubuntu, centos) systems.
Familiarity with saas applications including google workspace, salesforce, okta.
Working technical knowledge of owasp top 10 security risks and mitigation strategies.
