As a ui/web designer, you will:
Collaborate cross-functionally with brand, strategy, account, pm, ux, and copywriting peers and effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Participate in the full project lifecycle from ideation, to handoff, to launch.
Work in an agile environment with an iterative design process, motivated by group critique.
Support your team in strategizing and implementing new/evolving workflows and processes to tackle the unique challenges of each project and client.
Work across the design spectrum, from strategy to pixel-level detail, including concept development, refinement, rollout, and production support.
Understand the technical and creative constraints of a project, making strategic compromises with client stakeholders when necessary.
Partner closely with creative peers to ensure consistency and cohesion across every step of the website creation process.
Where applicable, apply your skill set to real-time consulting and problem-solving in a collaborative environment with clients.
5+ years relevant studio or in-house experience with small and large-scale websites.
A portfolio that demonstrates applied knowledge of usability, responsiveness, user-centered design, and visual storytelling across a variety of projectsYour work should show attention to detail in every aspect and a strong capacity for both logical and creative thinking; clearly articulating the problem and rationale for design solutions.
An agile self-starter, able to contribute to projects with varying levels of direction, and pivot gracefully as plans shift.
The ability and desire to present your work clearly and thoughtfully to teammates and clients at all stages of a project.
Oral and written communication skills to articulately express the rationale behind your decisions.
A deep understanding of ux and how copy, design, and development support each other.
Thorough knowledge of current and rising ux/ui and design trends and best practices, and the ability to apply them strategically and intentionally to each project.
Comfort with digging into and designing for a variety of industries and niches, and flexing your skill set accordingly.
A love for design and a solid understanding of typography, photography, interaction, and technology.
Solid familiarity with best practices in executing deliverables and handing off to development partners.
Mastery of adobe creative suite, figma, and google workspace.
Bonus points for photography, motion graphics skills, front end development experience, and/or familiarity with prototyping tools.
