The research analyst will provide administrative management and research support to the principal investigator (pi)This position involves aiding the program director and pi in overseeing the management of several research projects as well as the team’s internal processes and organization including, but not limited to, grant and contract preparation, regulatory affairs, data management and all student/intern/volunteer managementThe incumbent will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with research and development stakeholders, managing activities and events for leadership, providing academic and technical support to the leadership and partner faculty; and generally supporting all programmatic initiatives and activitiesResponsibilities will include assessing, identifying and overseeing regulatory needs; supervising program staff/students/intern/volunteers and interfacing with program investigators, collaborators, and local and global agenciesIn addition, the incumbent will provide grant support through writing, editing and facilitating correspondences, and budget and resource management.
They will have exceptional organizational and administrative skills and a strong scientific background in health research and who can assure effective operations and play a substantive role in managing on-going procedures including the support of development of proposals, workplans and associated budgets and the subsequent organization of data collection and monitoring and report writing of progress against plans according to established key performance indicators of the funding agreement.

The philip rLee institute for health policy studies (prl-ihps) is an organized research unit within the school of medicineThe primary purposes of the institute are to advance knowledge of health services and health policies through basic and applied research and to contribute to the solution of health and social problems through the application of research findings to health policy issues at the national, state, and local levels.
Required qualifications
Bachelor`s degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Working knowledge of research function.
Background in public health.
Working skills in statistical analysis, systems programming, database design and data security measures.
Working skills in analysis and consultation.
Skills to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in writing.
Strong organizational and self-management skillsAbility to work independently, exercise sound and timely judgement, and meet deadlines with little supervisor.
Detail orientation; ability to complete work accurately and correctly under pressure and to independently prioritize assignments.
Preferred qualifications
Master’s degree in public health
Ability to analyze and synthesize qualitative data and make recommendations based on data analysis
Working knowledge of word processing and database software packages such as microsoft word
Background in health research and investigation
Strong analytical skills required at this level
Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
