Responsibilities
Collaborate with teams in an agile framework to analyze requirements, determine scope, estimate tasks, document, develop, test, deploy and maintain solutions.
Build a thorough end-to-end understanding of api call chain for company websites and the mobile app
Design algorithms, workflows and data models for backend systems to create new software features
Partner with it operations/ infrastructure to architect solutions that are secure, robust and scalable
Produce efficient, sustainable and elegant code based on requirements and specifications
Perform tests to improve quality of software promoted up through different stages of development and avoid performance issues
Deploy, configure and maintain programs and applications
Perform root cause analysis across system call chains for issues reported
Evaluate user feedback to recommend improvements to existing solutions
Participate in agile ceremonies as an active contributor and in code reviews
Research and follow latest security requirements, software trends and perform best-practice research to support team goals.
Responsible for other tasks related to assigned systems.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics.
Other skills
Strong experience in programming concepts and sql programming (like sql server, db2).
Strong critical thinking skills with in-depth experience in web programming - php, javascript, web service apis, html.
Excellent abilities with php application frameworks such as laravel or symfony, designing and developing rest apis.
Working knowledge with cloud devops concepts including event driven programming and server-less computing (preferably on aws using ecs, sns, sqs or lambdas but open to experience with popular cloud services providers.)
Effectively communicate complex concepts with team members and vendors, both verbal and written.
Rapidly absorb complex technical and/or conceptual information.
Anticipate issues and provide solutions for complex problems.
Balance a self-motivated, independent work ethic with intense cross-functional collaboration needed to drive project success.
Hands-on software troubleshooting experience while under pressure.
Strong agile software development skills and documentation abilities.
Additional skills that are nice to have:
Javascript frameworks such as vue.js.
Salesforce marketing cloud apis for email and text message triggers.
Experience with no-sql document stores (such as mongodb).
