Job description:
Costing engineer / manufacturing engineer who can speak the language of should costing/ cost engineering to customer and supplier.
Engage with customer in cost engineering and cost analytics area.
Engage with customer and various internal stakeholders to set directions for the costing activity with details of actions and a vision of final results envisaged.
Proactively engage with customer and other stakeholders to help them understand benefits.
Manage an offshore team by regularly providing work inputs, reviewing deliverables and taking validated outputs to customer.
Engage with customer and provide process institutionalization and negotiation strategies
Provide customer and hcl management with weekly updates through dashboards to project status, value achieved, improvements to be made and other metrics
Should have good knowledge in all cost engineering tool.
Good exposure to strategic sourcing process.
Manage the status of the program overall
Good understanding of supply chain process in coordination with engineering team.
Knowledge in engineering design and manufacturing
Knowledge in costing
Knowledge in spend analysis, lpp,various costing approaches
Calculation of the cost impact associated with technical changes
Performs cost analysis and spend tracking to monitor project costs and revenue and forecast final financial outcomes
This role will have a cross-functional focus by coordinating across departments (engineering, product managers, supply chain, manufacturing, etc.)
Lead cost saving activities that increase customers gross product margins
Collaborate with and negotiate supply agreements with key suppliers
