Senior business development consultant office location: ada, michigan state residential status: candidates should be a resident of colorado, indiana, kansas or michigan remote flexibility: remote offerings for experienced and licensed employeesThose with lesser experience &/or non-licensed will be required to be onsite, in ada, mi, with the future potential for remote flexibility per policy requirementsIf fully remote, some travel will be required throughout the year to visit the home-office in ada, miRegular hours: monday – friday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm et status: full-time exempt, permanent role and responsibilities this position reports to the chief business development officer, (cbdo)Business development vice presidents, (business development vps), are expected to perform at a high level with a significant amount of autonomyAll sales employees, including business development vps, should be capable of making independent choices on client-relationship issues and other sales-related matters, pursuant to the cbdo’s subsequent review and periodic consultationBusiness development vps are tasked with implementing usa financial’s corporate policies and philosophies and developing a client base of financial advisors throughout the us, consistent with the company’s objectives through recruiting effortsAdditionally, business development vps must counsel usa financial’s existing advisors regarding which financial products best meet their clients’ objectives, explain the differences between available products, and answer advisor questions regarding usa financial’s policies, practices, and systemsThis requires an in-depth understanding of usa financial’s overall corporate structure, as well as the systems and operations of each individual business unitBusiness development vps are responsible for the following:
Recruiting advisors nationwide to usa financial and its subsidiaries;
Generating and cultivating new advisor leads;
Working cooperatively with case design managers to provide exemplary service to usa financial’s advisor clients;
Entertaining potential advisor clients through usa financial’s discovery day program;
Cultivating existing advisor relationships daily and through usa financial’s chain-of-secrets program;
Meeting usa financial’s expected sales and recruiting goals;
Promoting specific product lines and/or the company’s services;
Ensuring that advisor clients receive appropriate production support;
Consult an advisor’s business on how a partnership with usa financial can be an integral part of their growing business.
Qualifications, education requirements and desired skills:
Bachelor`s degree with business related major preferred;
Demonstrated success in consultative conversation while working with financial advisors;
Strong experience working within a sales team;
Previous internal/external wholesaling experience in financial services industry preferred;
Proven sales track record in a new product/new market environment;
Outstanding sales and communication skills;
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with other corporate divisions to drive sales;
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a result driven, team-oriented environment;
Outstanding selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills;
Position may be suitable for highly qualified recent college graduate.

Securities licenses

Compensation:
The position offers a starting base salary with gradual movement to 100% commission
