Summary
The project manager is responsible for organizing special projects and tasks related to the safe, efficient operation of usrc clinicsThis position assists with the development and implementation of programs to improve quality care and regulatory applicationsThe project manager reports directly to the next level of department management which may be a clinical project director or vice president of clinical operations/services, depending on the demographics.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the followingOther duties and tasks may be assigned.
Growth
Develop, revise and implement processes from regulatory and growth perspective in accordance with company goals.
Ensure proper and effective use of company resources, i.eSafety and risk reduction and best support methodologies.
Work with clinical team toward the achievement of monthly, quarterly and annual projections based on clinical outcomes and management objectives (e.gQip reports).
Outcomes
Develop, revise, and implement quality of care processes for program regulatory compliance in accordance with company goals.
Ensure clinical processes are in accordance to company policy and federal, state and local regulations.
Assist with developing and improving quality goals and measures.
Remain current with dialysis industry and technology.
May assist with policy and process development to achieve program target goals for patient outcomes in accordance with quality patient care and company goals.
Operational
Readiness
Knowledge of and remain current with federal, state, local laws and regulations.
Develop, revise, and implement policy and procedures to assure that clinical operations are in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and receive continuing certification from all statutory and regulatory agencies as requested.
Assist with clinical and operational projects to ensure compliance with all company standards, guidelines, rules, policies and procedures.
Assist with development/implementation of programs and training to meet identified needs.
Provide training and support in crownweb and national healthcare safety network (nhsn) as needed.
May conduct audits related to clinical operations and patient care data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational performance standards.
Coordinate policy/procedure revisions and dissemination of new and revised policies as requested.
May be assigned clinical projects including but not limited to: intralearn staff education and related reports; clinical/ employee education; qapi policy creation/revisions; crownweb reporting; nhsn reporting; qip; dfr; qdfc; cahps in-center hemodialysis survey; and other cms initiatives.
May provide clinic support in network initiatives and quality reporting.
Be familiar with emergency operational procedures as it relates to policy and procedure.
Be familiar with osha regulations.
Partnerships
Understand, lead and promote the company`s mission and philosophy relating to ethics, integrity, safety, corporate responsibility and objectives.
Maintain collaborative working relationship with administrator(s) and regional managementPartner with administrator(s) and regional management to ensure clinic needs are met.
Maintain a positive/collaborative relationship with clinical staff, senior leadership, and government agencies.
Actively promote guest customer service standards; develop effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
Respond effectively to inquiries or concerns.
Staff development/ retention
May develop and provide training as needed for project implementations and quality reporting.
Provide education related to cms updates and initiatives.
Develop and implement clinic based in-service programs as directed or requested.
Recruit, train, develop, and supervise assigned staff in collaboration with vp of clinical operations/services, director of clinical projects and human resources department.
Maintain effective personnel management and employee relations, including evaluating the performance of all assigned personnel; approving and submitting time worked and counseling and disciplining employees.
Uphold management goals of corporation by leading staff in team concepts and promoting a team effort.
Effectively communicates expectations; accepts accountability and holds others accountable for performance.

Current rn or lvn/lpn license in applicable stateLicense must be maintained as current and in good standingOr minimum of three (3) years recent clinical/dialysis project management experienceMust have extensive knowledge of dialysis industry standards and regulations governing esrd facilitiesCertification in nephrology practice preferredAdult education experience preferredDemonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills are requiredAbility to read, analyze and write reportsAbility to manage multiple projects and utilize resources to accomplish goalsAbility to work independently, prioritize, and adapt based on changing prioritiesStrong communication skills, both written and oralMust have basic computer skills, including microsoft office (word, excel, outlook); proficiency in all usrc clinical applications required within 90 days of hire.
