What you’ll do

The director of business development is responsible for identifying and developing strategic business relationships, on a regional basis, with brokers, consultants, and clientsAs the director of business development, you will take the lead in growing long-term relationships while maintaining existing relationships that support truescripts overall growth strategyThis position will work closely with account management, internal operations, and executive leadership to increase truescripts market awareness.

The fundamentals for the job_*
Establish new relationships and maintain existing, long-term relationships on a regional basis (territory will be defined by the vp of sales & marketing).
Lead all prospecting activities and deliver consistent, continued success with brokers, consultants, and clients.
Serve as a market intelligence leader to assist management with the product, pricing, and strategic initiatives to better leverage competitive position.
Serve as an educator with external constituents to properly convey, position, and message the truescripts solution.
Oversee the rx repricing/quote and rfp/rfi process for your opportunities.
Prepare sales strategies, pipeline, forecast, annual business development plans, and other reports, as needed.
Deliver consistent, high-level sales results.
Work closely with the account management team to onboard new clients.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies or associations, where applicable.
Sales-based position with the commissioner that involves travel as appropriate.
What you’re made of
The bold requirements_*
Education: requires a ba/bs; 3 – 7 years of professional/leadership experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Must meet truescripts’ core values (integrity, respect, innovation, service)
Proven sales/relationship professional with 3 - 7 years of experience
Industry knowledge in employee benefits, pbm (pharmacy benefit management), and/or tpa (third party administrator) would be helpful
Proven ability to bring business transactions to closure
Ability to interact and effectively communicate with all levels of an organization
Ability to be multi-focused, self-directed, and work with little supervision
Need to be flexible and work as a team player
Ability to prioritize and have good organizational skills
Experience and discipline required with a crm tool
Must be proficient in all microsoft office products
