How you will make an impact:
Our account manager ii will increase profitable sales within a defined territory by selling consumable and diagnostic lab supplies and instrumentation (capital equipment)The incumbent will maintain and improve existing customer relations while establishing new accounts as wellThe successful individual will partner with the appropriate sales specialist, corporate account sales team or member of management to negotiate and close sales, and provide operational analysis of customers, pricing and projectsThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales professional who is looking to build their experience in sales with a company that is a world leader in their industry!
This is a remote role covering central and east georgia area which includes atlanta, augusta, savannah, and athensApplicant must live within the territory identified.
Key responsibilities will be:
Call on customers in territory assigned, plan schedule, organize and control daily tasks, functions and duties to yield maximum sales results from efforts.
Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, hospitals, lab contacts, retail contacts and other ancillary medical professionals for accounts.
Deliver on territory financial goals, including sales, profitability, margin rates and days sales outstanding (dso).
Resolve account issues for customers and respond to customer requests and inquiries in a timely manner.
Evaluate and communicate product and service needs for assigned account
Complete required administrative tasks, including but not limited to all daily / weekly reportsMaintain follow up files and communicate results.
Positively represent thermo fisher scientific at all times throughout customer locations.
Who are we looking for?
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in medical science, biology or a related field of study.
2+ years of sales experience, required, preferably in medical sales, lab, distribution, science, and the healthcare industry.
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication and presentation skills.
Strong negotiation and consultative selling skills and a proven ability to close the deal.
Strong ability to develop and maintain effective customer relationships.
Computer proficiency in ms office and internetPrevious experience using sales force, preferred.
Ability to multi-task and in a fast-paced work environment
Must be able to pass required vendor credentialing for hospital and lab access.
Willing and able to travel to customer locations
