We are currently hiring a srMarketing & sales manager in boston, ma or remote .
The srMarketing & sales manager – local brands & taprooms is responsible for developing and executing marketing and sales strategies and tactics for all taprooms locations across the bbc portfolio as well as the wholesale business for local brands in miami, ny, and laThe role is accountable for the sustainable growth of our retail locations through unique marketing strategies and plans that win the hearts and minds of our consumers, coworkers, and distributorsIt requires a strong understanding of how brands grow, management of budget and creativity to drive consumer disruption, foot traffic, repeat business and salesExecution of marketing strategy includes - social/website, programming, events, public relations, advertising, and other decisions that will directly impact the success of all brands and locations.
This role is directly responsible for managing the local marketing teams in each la, ny, miami, de, boston, and waldenProviding direction, insights, leadership, and direction to keep local execution in line with national brand strategy and positioningTravel to local markets on a regular basis is key to success to achieving thisThe role is also responsible for providing direction to our dedicated lb&t design team in btv hq to clearly set brand look, feel and appearance in the marketplace (inclusive of packaging, pos, merchandise, and all external and internal brand materials).
This role must also act as the primary contact and liaison with boston beer co marketing, events, sales, innovation, and pr teamsWorking closely with them to understand national brand priorities, opportunities, and how we can execute them/assist them from a local level in our retail locationsShould attend monthly marketing meetings to make sure we are communicating well with each respective group and sharing progress/learnings/strategies for the retail locations.
What you`ll brew:
Retail locations:
Develop and implement a plan for driving increased awareness, foot traffic and revenue growth for each location
Implement social media and advertising strategy across locations that supports growth and brand awareness in each local market
Create and recap events that will engage our drinkers in each market and create revenue and brand awareness and growth
Work to develop understanding of drinklab and how it can help innovation development and communication of learnings across bbc (brand, brewing, local teams, etc)
Brand:
Develop and implement a plan for driving sustainable, long-term growth for the brands through focused and effective marketing and innovation plans
Develop annual marketing plan/brand plan for each brand inclusive of brand strategy, tactics, promotions, pos and advertising
Develop and execute communication and promotional platforms for the brand across multi-channel and consumer touch points
Implement a robust ideation, research, develop and test procedure for new offerings to drive focus on priority initiatives that build equity and drive brand growth
Utilize iri and depletions data to develop and support compelling selling stories and rationale for product recommendations, volume forecasts and project recaps
Sales leadership for coney island/angel city/concrete beach (“bbc local brands”)
Provide leadership to bbc sales as head of brand for coney island, angel city and concrete beach
Collaborate with district, region and division managers on sales strategies and tactics for the bbc local brands
Lead, organize and conduct annual operating plans (aop’s) for bbc local brands
Content:
Creation of powerful advertising content that reengages and recruit consumers into the brands and brings to life our brand dna in each market
Working with the social media coordinator and local marketing teams, ensure that we have a strong and consistent digital content for the brand
Responsible for the creation and approval of brand content creative briefs
Responsible for the identification, review, appointment, and management of advertising and public relations agencies for the brand (where applicable)
Other responsibilities:
Flexibility to travel to understand markets and work events
Ability to use experience to make solid judgment calls
Coaching of younger, inexperienced staff
Act as “keeper of the culture” in the burlington office
Ability to travel to the lb&t breweries (angel city/trulyla, concrete beach, dogfish head locations, samuel adams locations and coney island) - 40% travel
What ingredients you`ll bring:
Minimum qualifications:
5+ years’ experience in a results-oriented consumer product marketing role at a marketing driven firm
Proven experience in project planning and management, budgeting and financial analysis, and product positioning
Experience in developing consumer marketing communications, including digital
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to project completion
Ability to lift a case of beer
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Beverage industry or traditional cpg experience is preferred, but not necessary
