Testfit is seeking an experienced and results-driven director of user experienceThis person should inspire great work, nurture talent, and bring people together on the creation and evolution of best-in-class software that customers loveThis role mentors, develops, and provides thought leadership and hands-on help from the design to implementation and testingThe ideal candidate for this role is a customer advocate who is passionate about gathering insights to better create customer intuitive experiencesThe director of user experience reports to the vice president of product.
Responsibilities
Ultimately manage a team of ux designers and ux researchers; you will be responsible for building and scaling the team.
Use your extensive knowledge of the end-to-end iterative product design process, including how to develop and use personas, journey mapping, content modeling, wireframing and prototyping, user testing, high-fidelity visuals, and dev hand-off day-to-day.
Create and design deliverables (information architecture diagrams, wireframes, conceptual sketches, prototypes, and screen flows)
Have deep empathy for the user and a desire to learn as much as possible about how they interact with testfit
Communicate and storytell; help your team and stakeholders understand the “why” behind the design rationale
Be responsible for your team’s mentorship and career development
Work directly with business stakeholders
Meet quarterly objectives and key results (okr)
Qualifications
Bachelor`s degree in design, human-computer interaction, psychology, cognitive science, information science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
10 years of experience with ux design and ux research
3 years of experience managing design teams
Experience with direct leadership of user experience teams
Portfolio of design work/ ux research
