Full job description
Job title: outside sales representative
Identifies customers using company computerized database and other ndt industry resourcesEstablishes outside company contacts through purchasing, quality, ndt, engineering or other knowledgeable contactsSchedules calls on current or perspective customers as a regular routineResponds to customer phone calls, fax and e-mail inquiries for equipment parts, supplies and accessories.
Essential responsibilities, authorities and expectations:
Other duties may be assigned.
Respond to incoming sales calls from customers and calls on customers as needed.
Prospect new customers.
Demonstrate products to customers.
Acts as point contact for customers in geographic area.
Quote equipment and supplies for customers.
Acts as a customer service representative to insure quality product(s) and service(s) delivery.
Responds to customer problems and refers issues to proper resource.
Support customer issues including follow up on orders and assisting in installations.
Enter new customer information and keep existing contacts and information up to date in crm and sage100 databases.
Arranges for and involved with product delivery and installation, where appropriate
Work with accounting regarding customer’s payment status.
Evaluate and recommend new products.
Attend and support trade shows.
Provide national sales manager with weekly update of activities including customer visits.
Attend internal company meetings and provides update on sales activities including those that could impact inside sales or service staff.
Cross train with other team members for backup.

Education and/or experience: minimum high school diploma or gedBachelor’s degree in marketing/sales preferredIndustrial field sales experience neededNdt experience preferred6 months of customer service experience.
