About the position:
Title: credit leader - the americas
Reports to: directorGlobal risk management and capital markets
Location: norwalk, ct or remote

In this position you will have the opportunity to actively support the director, global risk management and capital markets on enterprise wide risk projects and facilitate the credit risk management processThis key position is responsible for reviewing credit recommendations within the scope of treasury credit approval policies and will act as a voting member on the treasury investment committee (ic)You will actively work to develop programs with business segments to increase incremental machine sales within acceptable risk criteria and provide cross-functional expertise on other corporate initiatives and projectsThis position requires a strong leader with the ability to prioritize, plan, communicate between multiple teams and lead a team of credit professionals.
Perform credit underwriting of terex customers primarily located in the americas
Analyze and form risk opinion based on information contained in: financial statements, attested financial statements, personal financial statements, individual and corporate tax returns, cash flow statements, etc.
Prepare credit summaries, reports and analysis on payment performance, credit exposures, credit limits and key credit metrics for presentation to management
Continually work with multiple stakeholders to develop and improve the quality of credit submissions and gain efficiencies in deal flow
Assist in the management of workouts and payment plans for past due customers
Develop strong understanding of regular terex customers and their relationship with terex to maintain open lines of credit
Adhere to internal/external control standards and compliance requirements
Productively interact with sales staff, operations, finance and senior management
Perform special projects and periodically prepare key reports for senior management
Keep informed about the legal, compliance and market-risk-related issues in commercial credit markets and the construction industry
Assist in the development and maintenance of credit policies, procedures and underwriting practices to assess and manage risks
Assist with the design and improvement of the credit process
6 years of commercial credit underwriting experience; preferably in the construction or heavy equipment segment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with standard microsoft office applications
10+ years of commercial credit underwriting experience in the construction or heavy equipment segment
Working knowledge of legal structure, credit law, bankruptcy/repossession processes
Masters degree or cfa
Potentially up to 5-10%
