How you`ll contribute…
You will play a vital role in our business and on our team by utilizing your experience on the web to enrich all of our web technologiesYou will be responsible for:
Maintaining, developing, and optimizing our collection of high-traffic websites
Migrating sites from other platforms into our comprehensive wordpress environment
Developing and maintaining plugins that extend the functionality of our sites
Optimizing technical seo for wordpress sites
Monitoring our sites and services to meet uptime and performance goals
Utilizing your expertise as a web developer to propel the business forward
Continually improving the deployment and caching process
What you bring…
3+ years of experience building applications and sites on the web
Experience building and maintaining large-scale web applications with php, javascript
Ability to understand css changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
Experience working with mysql, importing and exporting data, and optimizing database queries
Experience interacting with restful apis and data formats (json, xml)
Proficiency in wordpress, or experience with other comparable cms and willingness to learn wordpress
Experience optimizing website performance and core web vitals
Experience implementing and maintaining caching systems and content-delivery networks
Comfortable working with debugging tools like firebug, chrome inspector, etc.
Experience migrating sites between platforms
Understanding of lifecycle management and deployment processes
Bonus points…
Deep experience with wordpress sites and a thorough understanding of wordpress hooks and actions
Experience monitoring and optimizing wordpress sites
Experience with modern javascript frameworks, such as react or vue.js
Experience developing wordpress plugins or contributing to wordpress core
Experience with technical search engine optimization
Server administration/ aws management
