Summary of program/project:
The mission of the defense logistics agency (dla) information operations includes the management of customer relationships and information technology (it) customer service to dla and non-dla users worldwideCentral to this mission is a focus on constantly improving customer service to ensure the right services, with the right quality, and the right allocation of assets to achieve broad j6 strategic and operational goals in the most efficient mannerLifecycle support for enterprise service delivery and solutions include; problem resolution and solutions management that begins with the initial customer touchpoint for service and concludes with the successful resolution of it incidents and work orders including analysis, statuses and reportingThe intent of this action is to acquire the capability to deliver world-class it customer serviceThis order covers support to assist and sustain the implementation of the enterprise service delivery (esd) ii programRequirements for the program include the end-to-end solution for customer facing desktop support, active directory, windows/system administration, local network management application support, software delivery functions, and it equipment accountability.
Position description (duties and responsibilities):
Ensures the stable operation of the in-house computer software systems and network connectionsThis includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network software and communication linksAnalyzes and resolves end user software program and connectivity issuesProvides end user trainingProvide recommendations on technology direction to align with business visionWill be required to provide both local and remote maintenance support to various operational systems deployed at more than one locationSupport includes general maintenance, upgrades, and new installs of servers and applicationsApplies advanced technical knowledge of application networking, including load balancing applications, and ensuring fault tolerancePerforms vulnerability management.
Knowledge and skills required:
Seven (7) years of progressive experience in the field of information processing.
Six (6) of which are specialized in numerous specialized information processing disciplines involving a range of hardware/software solutions, four of which are concentrated, hand-on experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and resolving issues with various software.
Knowledge and skills desired:
Served in a similar role within an enterprise service desk (esd) environment
Clearance: must possess an active secret clearance.
Education: bs or ba (preferred)
Certifications: ia level: iat ii 8570.01-m baseline certification (ccna security, csa+, gicsp, gsec, security+ce or sscp)
Computing environment: azure aa (azure admin associate)
