Tmg is currently seeking a dynamic individual to serve as an executive director/account managerThis role would serve as a lead staff person overseeing the delivery of service and staff assignments for several tmg client partnersThis role will oversee a diverse team that will include tmg employees and possibly third-party contractors supporting the associationA successful candidate will have experience leading teams and working with volunteer leaders.
Candidates should have prior experience in association management, either as an executive director or leading a significant program for an association or association management companyCandidates should be able to provide high-level account management for several client partners while managing a team delivering the day-to-day services for the association.
Key responsibilities:
Serve as an account manager for several tmg client partners, maintaining positive relationships with client volunteer leadership
Coordinate resources (both internal and external) required to meet the needs of the client
Fiscal responsibility for all client activities, budget preparation, explanation, and development.
Supervise the day-to-day administrative functions of the association and staff,
Provide mentorship for staff assigned to accounts
Ensure staff are adhering to company policy and client processes
Partner with the client volunteer leadership (president or chair) to ensure ongoing meetings of the client leadership board
Prepare agendas for the board meetings and prepare meeting programs and related meeting materials.
Provide ongoing guidance to the client board to ensure ongoing progress towards the strategic plan of the association
Oversee the corporate responsibilities of the associations (taxes, non-profit applications, bylaws, etc.);
Oversee financial activities, including payment of invoices, budget preparation, monthly financial records, annual audit, etc.
Participate in internal tmg working groups and committees
Qualifications:
Effective written and verbal communications and ability to communicate well with all levels both within and outside the organization.
Prior experience serving in an executive or c-level position within an association
Extensive microsoft office experience.
Association management software management experience.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet required deadlines.
Well-developed interpersonal skills.
Ability to make clear, concise, and effective presentations.
Strong understanding of managing finances.
8+ years in association management
Asae certification cae (desired).
Bachelor’s degree or other equal professional experiences.
