Overview: general purpose:
Supervise and support field technicians who are responsible for delivering voice and data services to our customersEnsuring order due dates are achieved; testing thoroughly completed, and successful turn-up of tpx products and services are accomplished.
Reports to (supervisor/manager):
Works under the supervision of the field operations manager.
Will supervise field technicians.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Responsibilities include recruiting new technicians, delivering technical and ‘soft skill’ training.
Developing a ‘team’ oriented culture.
Managing teams and personal performance.
Train new employees and reinforce with existing personnel accuracy and functionality of all existing systems and new systems as they are introduced.
Maintain overall morale of the group and enforcement of company and departmental policies and procedures.
Oversee scheduling of employees for proper coverage.
Perform yearly performance evaluation appraisals based on the defined criteria.
Generate and analyze daily reports from defined systems to verify work accuracy and make process and procedure recommendations based on findings.
Have complete overview of all assigned markets to ensure timely and accurate order distribution.
Carry out all routine and special assignments as directed by immediate manager.
Interaction with external departments and fops supervisors for introduction of new products, and dispersal of new processes and products.
Ability to drive personal or company vehicle is an essential function of this position in accordance with company policy.

Desired minimum qualifications:
Education and experience:
Candidate should have an associate degree or 3-5 years telecommunications experience or related field.
Must have clean dmv (maximum of 3 points).
Must be able to drive to various customer locations throughout the work day.
Necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Voice and data applications.
Excellent customer service skills.
Must be results oriented with attention to detail, creative thinking displaying a high degree of flexibility and personal accountability.
Able to work well with others and interact respectfully with both internal and external customers.
Display a high degree of interpersonal awareness.
Must have solid communications, organization and prioritization skills.
Able to communicate and interact effectively with multiple internal as well as external organizations.
Successfully manage change.
Must have a clean dmv with a maximum of 3 points on driving record.
No duis within the past 3 years.
Tools and equipment used:
Personal computer, including word-processing, database and spreadsheet programs; calculator, telephone, copy and fax machine.
