The marine, oil & gas (mog) team within te connectivity is a leader in developing and supplying a comprehensive portfolio of subsea connectors, fiber optics, cables, switches, and moldings for harsh environmentsTe is a $13b global leader in providing specialized componentry to enable electronics in harsh environment applicationsWe are seeking an experienced and savy outside sales account manager to foster our growth for nine west coast states and western canada including ca, nv, or, wa, id, ut, az, mt & wyThis individual will be experienced in military marine (us navy) and oceanographic applications and be able to articulate and apply this knowledge in developing customer solutions involving the vast mog portfolio.
It is a remote position, but the candidate should live in or near the san diego, ca, metropolitan area to support their geographic territory.
Responsibilities:
Technical sales experience, ideally within the greater marine oil & gas industry (bop controls, xmas tree controls, subsea production umbilicals., rov/auv, ocean research, seismic research, downhole)
A solutions-oriented individual capable of looking not only at the component requirement but beyond a value-added system solution
Strong customer service focus
Strong negotiation skills
Support customers in technical, commercial, logistics, and quality.
Develop relationships with dedicated customers identifying the decision-makers that will be influential to the growth of te mog
Develop new customers and accounts as well as maintain and grow current customer accounts
Work on market share increase and competitor replacement
What your background should look like:
Bachelor`s degree preferred
5 years of oil & gas industry sales experience preferred
Proficient in ms office programs: powerpoint, excel, word
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent presentation skills to top-level executives and engineers.
Ability to formulate and propose frame agreement offers.
Strong customer service focus and the ability to engage engineers and purchasing departments.
Develop new customers and accounts with a strong hunter mentality.
Willingness to travel (expectation ~20%)
Provide activity and sales/forecast reports in accordance with company standards
Strong team-oriented

Compensation
Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $58,600.00 – $87,800.00 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
Posted salary ranges are made in good faithTe connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
Total compensation = base salary + incentive(s) + benefits
