Full job description
As a ux researcher, you will help make a difference in the way patients interact with their doctors and manage their health needsYour research will provide clinician and patient-centered viewpoints needed to help inform the role of technology in the patient-doctor relationship.
This is an opportunity to contribute to a growing team in an established companyYou will be part of a variety of product teams and work closely with them throughout the design processYou will start working on small projects, and over time you will work on larger projects with the ability to identify complex patient needs.
What you’ll do
You will take on various projects that are at different points in the product lifecycle.
Obtain an understanding of our patients by conducting interviews to inform the designs before they beginThis work will provide the product team with a sense of direction and help guide decision making.
Conduct studies to improve prototypes, before the product team commits to a design.
Reevaluate live products, and identify areas for improvement
Duties
Collaborate with the ux research team and help with everything from recruiting to analysis
Work with designers, business analysts, product leads, and executives to fill knowledge gaps
Define research objectives and develop research proposals.
Run studies that gain an understanding of how our patients manage their healthIdentify opportunities where design (web, mobile, and print) can improve their experience.
Advocate for patient needs and provide clarity around product improvements to stakeholders and product team
Be proactive in helping improve the ux research team
Requirements
Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to identify how ux research could help them.
Plan and execute research studies using a variety of methods that coincide with learning objectives.
Effective communication to a group through written and oral presentations to properly convey research outcomes.
Be personable and sensitive when interacting with patients for recruiting participants.
Skills
Excellent communication and writing skills
Experience in qualitative and quantitative user experience research methods including generative, evaluative, behavioral and attitudinal
Ability to interpret and analyze research findings
Basic understanding of website metrics/analytics
Nice-to-haves
Undergraduate and/or advanced degree in psychology, cognitive science, human computer interaction, human factors, anthropology, sociology or other related degrees
Experience conducting research throughout an entire product(s) lifecycle
Bilingual english/spanish
