Basic functions (or position summary): with guidance from the national sales manager and in accordance with mutually set market goals:
1.) wholesale distributor channel sales of the fantech and greentek brands of systemair within the geographical boundaries of the region2.) maintaining and strengthening a distribution network for the brands within the region and in concert with the brands’ national distribution framework3.) management and support of independent sales agencies who represent the brands in geographical territories within the region4.) monitor competitive activity and trends within the region5.) the central region includes the states of texas, oklahoma, kansas, nebraska, south dakota, north dakota, louisiana, mississippi, arkansas, missouri, iowa, minnesota, kentucky, illinois, wisconsin, indiana, ohio, michigan, west virginia and western pennsylvania.
Essential duties and responsibilities: 1Maintain and manage the region’s independent sales agencies to best fulfil the region’s market goals2Keep consistent contact with the region’s independent sales agencies through phone and email3Maintain relationships with existing and new key distributors4Engage in joint sales calls with the region’s sales reps on distributors, engineers, architects, contractors and home builders5Communication of brand announcements to the sales channel6Work with customer service and operations to resolve any sales issues in the region7Provide product support to the market: sales reps, distributors, engineers, architects and contractors8Work with the region’s sales reps to maintain and develop distribution agreements in support of industry segment initiatives9Participate in industry trade shows, exhibitions and events in support of the brands’ market strategies10Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity, trade shows, exhibitions, events, etc11Demonstrate extensive product knowledge to the distribution sales channel12Educate and train sales rep agencies, distributors, contractors, home builders, architects and engineers13Assist in the development of sales plans, strategies, objectives, policies and work procedures in accordance with company’s sales goal and profitability margins14Ability to travel regularly within the sales region and occasionally to travel to other us regions and canadaFrequency of out of town travel is estimated at approximately two weeks (m-f) per month on average, and occasionally for a weekend day or for an entire weekend15Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
Experience: • field sales experience with a background with industrial products sold through distribution is preferred• willingness to travel by automobile and air• experience in all aspects of supplier relationship management.
