Full job description
We are looking for a candidate who will coordinate system development tasks to include design, integration, and implementation of solutionsDevelops and documents system specifications, technical and logistical requirements, and other disciplinesCreate and maintain programmatic and technical documentation to ensure efficient planning and execution testingPerform planning, modeling, validation, engineering, and verification activitiesPerform functional analysis, timeline analysis, research, and solution definition studies to evaluate compliance of specifications with customer requirements.
Assist with software and hardware management, inventory, installations, configurations, and connectivity.
Monitor and maintain the availability of project’s systems, including working directly with the hosting center.
Maintain computer security in accordance with the federal nist standards.
Design, configure, operate, manage, administer and maintain an it development environment.
Provide back-up support for administering oracle enterprise databases.
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, administer, and upgrade vms and docker containers.
Design and build solutions that are generic, scalable and reusable.
Collaborate with other engineers to develop deployment and maintenance strategies for existing and new services.
Prepare presentations, reports, research, and other project deliverables.
Analyze and troubleshoot problems within devops tools.
Required qualifications:
Experience in systems design or related area.
Experience with following technologies:
Linux
Apache and or nginx
Jboss
Ansible
Git
Maven
Familiarity with deploying, configuring and troubleshooting javaee apps.
Strong skills with relational databasesOracle, postgres or nosql db administration and monitoring in a container-based environment.
Strong scripting/development skillsPython, shell scripting preferred.
Basic understanding of api`s and web services, and experience with api gateway interfaces preferred.
Experience working with scm, ci and cd workflows and tools such as git, jenkins, maven, bamboo.
Experience with system logging, monitoring and analysis tools, such as splunk.
Preferred qualifications:
Setting up and managing system monitoring tools (dynatrace)
Configuring and managing docker containers.
Experience in working with scm, ci and cd workflows and tools (git, jenkins, maven, bamboo)
Atlassian jira and confluence administration
Aws or cloud
Kubernetes
