Job title: senior .net developers - 116087 location: frankfort, ky (remote job) duration: 6 months contract client: commonwealth of kentucky job description the family services and substance abuse monitoring branch (fssmb) within the office of administrative and technology services` (oats) is requesting resumes for senior .net developersThe cabinet is in the process of modernizing the premier prescription drug monitoring program in the country - kasperDevelopment of kasper began in the early 2000s and the web solution was rolled out in 2005While there has been several updates and modifications over the past 14 years, the code is growing old and needs to be refreshedInformation technology tools and methods have also improved over the past 14 years and the modernization/rewrite of kasper will be able to take advantage of those new technologies and methodsThis position will be a new, short term (6 months) task order for a senior .net developer that will be involved in the modernization of kasperThis senior developer will join a team of other kasper developers and assist the team in developmentThe project will be developed using some of the latest tools and technologies including visual studio 2017, mvc, j-query, bootstrap, .net framework 4.0 and above, .net core, entity framework 4.0 and sql 2012 and aboveThe resource must be highly motivated, result-oriented, and qualified in development of large web-based solutions using .net technologyThe resource is required to have strong communication and documentation skills, must be proficient in object-oriented design and very strong in .net development of n-tier applications using c# .net, vb.net, asp .net, mvc, j-query, bootstrap and sql 20012/2016Microsoft certification preferable· experience in software analysis, design, development, testing practices of client server, n-tier applications using c#.net and vb.net· experience developing web based and windows based applications using asp.net, c#Net, vb.net, ado.net· experience in object oriented programming (oop) and methodologies· experience in sql server with technologies such as stored procedures, views and triggers· experience in object oriented analysis and designing (ooa and ood), object oriented programming (oop) including in depth knowledge of .net framework· experience with web-forms, win-forms, web services, windows services, mvc, bootstrap, jquery, and ssrs · experience developing applications leveraging ado.net, linq to sql, entity framework 4· experience in designing gui and using ajax and javascript to enhance the look and feel of ui· eager to learn, adapt and implement innovative technologiesRequired skills: candidate must have: · extensive experience in architecting, designing, developing and implementing large-scale web based applications using microsoft technologies, including data modelling, object modelling· .net 4.5 and above, sql server 2012 and above, mvc 4 or later, c# service oriented architecture · javascript, ajax, html, jquery, css · windows communication foundation (wcf) · experience in working with cross sector teams including development, infrastructure and network operations teams · experience in reviewing and producing technical documentation · good understanding of microsoft active directory federation services (adfs), claims based authentication preferred skills: candidates having experience in one or more of the skill sets detailed below are preferred: · .net core 3.0 and above· sql 2016 · generating reports using sql server reporting services and business object · workflow tools · sharepoint integration
