Subvrsive is seeking a ux designer to join our rapidly growing teamYou will work closely with creative leads as well as cross-disciplinary project members to create and execute concepts for digital experiencesThis includes immersive ar/vr experiences, spatial web projects and traditional digital projects like websites, microsites etcYou`ll be expected to actively contribute to the development of original solutions and create polished, final deliverables whether working solo or under the guidance of a more senior creative.
General responsibilities
Understand technical, business, and time limitations, and design within these constraints
Collaborate with a cross-functional team to create immersive, cutting-edge experiences for various xr platforms (ar, vr, xr web)
Balance multiple projects and work streams
Present deliverables to clients and internal stakeholders, and articulate rationale for approach in the context of both business and user needs
Guide the end-to-end design process, from defining deliverables that meet project goals and constraints to project file handoff
Engage with and support design & strategy workshops with internal and external teams
Assist with informing internal processes, and contributing to shared knowledge hubs
Technical abilities
Support the discovery, research, and data synthesis to identify critical user insights and develop hypotheses to design effective experiences
Create research and design artifacts to best inform strategic experience decisions
Create comprehensive sitemaps, wireframe systems, and process flows for large-scale solutions
Ideate, sketch, and prototype for desktop, tablet, mobile and headset devices
Support the holistic experience design by providing feedback and collaboration on the visual design implementation
Advocate for and promote experience design best practices
Experience we’re looking for:
3+ years of experience working on complex digital experiences in a digital studio/agency environment
Experienced in both agile and waterfall methodologies
Familiar with scoping and estimating ux tasks
Xr and/or agency studio experience preferred
Qualities we’re looking for:
Impeccable communication skills - written, verbal, and visual; ability to bring clarity to and embody a variety of stakeholder perspectives (clients, vendors, creatives, etc.)
Disciplined, but not rigid.
Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to build structure and process across teams
High-performance orientation with an appreciation for working smarter, not harder
Practiced in situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement and empowerment.
If hired, you can:
Work remotely within the us (with the occasional travel to our offices in austin)
Work flexible hours, as long as you`re available for meetings within the standard work day (9-5 cst)
