Application developer - entry (it application developer – entry/itsd) this recruitment will be used to fill multiple positions.

This application developer position applies technical knowledge and skills in support of the unemployment tax and benefits (utab) system and related interfacesThis developer solicits, analyzes, and documents business requests, prepares prototypes for solutions, designs, and develops code and configures features in gentax, plans and executes tests, and performs technical support and maintenance activities in collaboration with other technical staffThis position works under limited supervision.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated technical problem-solving skills, and the ability to understand the business processes of a complex project, and work within a team to propose technical solutions and improvementsIf you pride yourself on your technical skills and the ability to work well with others, this may be the opportunity for you!

Duties
Configure gentax components and design and develop new code for utab and related interfaces following esd itsd guidelines, gentax application standards, the direction of leads, supervisors and architects, and industry best practices.
Perform or participate in gathering and discovering requirements for system changes.
Follow esd software development and project management methodologies.

Qualifications
A combination of it related education and/or relevant it experience equating to 4 years.
Or
Bachelor’s degree in information technology or closely related field.
Relevant it experience includes:
Demonstrated skills in service-oriented design and development using c#, vb.net and sql.
Demonstrated testing skills – unit testing, requirements testing, user testing, load testing, functional, performance/load testing and regression testing.
Continuous development of skills related to new tools and techniques related to application development, maintenance, and support.
