Take the first step towards designing your career with stantecWe have an exciting customer service opportunity for an enthusiastic, dedicated administrative professional to support our hr functionReporting to the hr services supervisor, the incumbent’s primary role is to be a key point of contact for basic day-to-day response to client needs, ensuring that hr services are delivered to hr partners and employeesThis position partners closely with internal hr partners throughout north america and follows established quality standards and timelines, covering all aspects of the employee life cycleThe ideal candidate is comfortable in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with a variety of individuals across all levels of the organization in a multi-office/location organization in different time zonesJoin our collaborative team and play an important role in delivering efficient customer service to our client groupsThis is a full-time, permanent position that can be based remotely and will support pacific standard time zone.
Your key responsibilities
Answer general and routine inbound calls and electronic requests pertaining to human resource programs and procedures as well as other inquiries in more specialized areas, such as benefits, compensation, payroll, talent development, etcIdentify and escalate complex inquiries or cases as needed.
Interpret hr policies, procedures, and guidelines to provide advice and guidance to employees.
Operate internal technology/systems effectively and efficiently to manage requests and provide excellent customer serviceThis includes managing requests through livechat and ticketing system technology.
Coordinate transactional based tasks: prepare and complete time sensitive documents, forms, letters, and paperwork accurately and route to appropriate team for further processing in a timely mannerFollow up on missing or incomplete information or applicable approvals in accordance with internal compliance guidelines.
Ensure legislative and internal compliance and data integrity are adhered to for all transactions.
Partner with internal teams, e.g., corporate, and regional hr staff, data services, payroll, benefits, other hr teams, to ensure timely resolution of request.
Achieve identified operational metrics in support of the delivery of the team’s services and best practices.
Perform other duties or special projects of a similar nature as assigned.
Your capabilities and credentials
Strong customer service, communication (written and verbal), attention to detail and time management skills.
Results focused and ability to meet tight concurrent deadlines.
Knowledge of human resources related jurisdictional laws, legislation, rules, and regulations for north america.
Proven ability to exercise confidentiality, discretion, and sound judgment
Ability to learn and adapt to programs and processes quickly.
Proficient with the use of ms office applications
Familiarity with an hrms (preferably oracle) and contact center technologyWorking knowledge of livechat and a ticketing system is an asset.
Education and experience
Post-secondary diploma or certificate in office administration, business administration or human resources, or equivalent work-related experience.
Minimum of 2-3 years administrative experience in a professional services and computerized environmentExperience supporting an hr team is an asset.
Comfortable and enjoys working with a variety of individuals across all levels of the organization in a multi-office/location organization in different time zones.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
