Provide leadership and direction to assigned business system analysts to assure that goals and standards of all areas are being metResponsible for providing leadership support for multiple projects and production deployments of low to high complexityResponsible to coordinate the development and implementation of programs and strategies to improve organizational processes and serviceProvide technical and analytical support to specific departmental and corporate initiativesResponsible for supporting multiple complex projects by leading teams in researching and analyzing business requirements and prototyping system capabilities to identify and build system solutionsPlan, monitor and track the enterprise operational department`s overall work intake and project effortsHave a sound understanding of applicable business or clinical systems and industry requirements, formulates and defines large and/or complex systems scopes and objectivesDevises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems, considering software applications, capacity, resource availability, operating time and form of desired resultsIncludes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specificationsParticipates in project leadership by documenting scope and defining implementation proceduresProvides technical project management, often leading work on new implementations and upgrades of related systems and handling multiple projects simultaneouslyDocuments and drives best system implementation practices throughout the systemDemonstrated ability to successfully define an approach including business requirement gathering, prioritization, testing, documentation and training.
Management responsibilities (strategic): contributes to the overall management strategies of the departmentResponds to the needs of the department and its team membersAware of the implications of applying new/differing technology to the current business environment, along with an understanding of relevant business or clinical systems and industry requirements, leads the use of research and analysis to define large and/or complex systems scopes and objectives for developing new, or improving existing, information systemsWork with business, configuration and developers to translate and document business and technical requirementsInterpret, analyze and develop system solutions from business requirements and lead the planning and implementation effortDevelop and improve work flows and business processes within defined areas to improve customer service and improve overall quality and cost efficiencyIdentify and/or analyze business problems and devise procedures for solutions.
Collaborates with other managers, supervisors and team members to solve technical and personnel issuesClarifies direction provided by senior managementRecommends policy changes to improve departmentWorks closely with other supervisors and managers to assure proper alignment with long term team, department and corporate goalsResponsible for the technical and interpersonal performance of individual team members.
Management responsibilities (day to day): effectively leads the day-to-day running of configuration areas including turnaround times and quality standardsEffectively and actively works within the business analytics team to allow for the free flow of ides in an open atmosphereRepresents team in meetings and projects as requested by managementDevelops, implement and maintain performance tracking and trending tools to allow for daily monitoring of team`s performance level for all functionsIdentifies training needs within teams and develops appropriate action plansEffectively lead projects, teams or workgroups in order to produce desired resultsDocument and communicate project concepts, milestones and resultsRecommend and assist with implementing existing and new policies and proceduresEnsure that solution is fully integrated across the software application as well as any downstream solutions reliant upon the data configuration.
Coordinates with key staff members to obtain business requirements, while simultaneously monitoring responses and deadlinesPartner with business and it to deliver enhancements and defect updates provided by the software vendor.
Project management: provides project and program management expertise and support to capital and strategic initiatives, promotes and develops these capabilities within members of assigned teamsParticipates to ensure successful delivery of a wide range of small/medium large and enterprise wide projects and programsParticipate in the process improvement planning (pip)Participate in pmo resourcing and planning meetingsEffectively develop, prioritize and implement project plans as assigned by managementCommunicate project goals in a clear an timely mannerGive input and sets priorities on a small, medium and large scaleIdentify, secure and coordinate bsa department resources.
Required bachelor`s degree or equivalent health care related field
5 years of relevant experience leading teams in use/configuration/maintenance/testing of facets software (or comparable healthcare payer business system) required
Experience with facets software preferably in one or more of the following areas: pricing configuration/maintenance, provider configuration/maintenance, product configuration/maintenance, group administration configuration/maintenance, enrollment maintenance, claims required
Leadership and/or analyst experience required with demonstrated experience in operational analysis, data analysis, and problem resolution type projects and activitiesRequired
7 years of relevant experience experience formulating and documenting functional and system requirementsProvide expert system consultation that supports solutionsRequired
Experience reporting metrics and create project dashboardsRequired
Experience in systems development lifecycle
Including, requirements gathering and design
Participant in multiple phases of an integrated
Background in health care, sciences or information
