We currently have a Jnr Sales Engineer opening on our growing team to work with the clients/accounts in the UK and Ireland territory. This is an internal pre-sales role working closely with the account executives to provide technical assistance & security solutions expertise to potential and existing customer and partners.Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct sales presentations and demos for partners and potential customers.
- Identify customer security and connectivity requirements and propose SonicWALL solutions to address these needs.
- Work with a customer’s technical contacts during evaluation/demonstration periods, respond to their technical issues/questions and act as liaison between the customer and engineering as well as product management and marketing.
- Work alongside post-sales support when necessary to preserve relationships with partners and customers.
- Work with other departments on writing competitive analysis papers for competing technologies, interoperability white papers with other vendors, writing case studies and new feature white papers.
- Manage the team’s demonstration equipment / staging and shipping.
- Support the sales team at customer events.
- Be a technical point of contact for our distribution partners.
- Be an out of office escalation for the field SE team.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of technical consulting or systems engineering / support experience in network security industry.
- HND in Computer Science or related field.
- Good presentation skills.
- Good understanding of IPv4, IPv6, networking, routing, switching and Virtual Private Networks.
- Good understanding of SSL/TLS, PKI, signing and encryption.
- Good understanding of network security including Firewall, IDS, IPS, DDOS, and Anti-Virus technology.
- Appreciation of LDAP, Radius, Microsoft Active Directory, and other AAA.
- Hands-on experience with operating systems including Linux, Windows, and OSX.
- Experience with SMTP filtering and Content Security solutions.
- Experience with 802.11x wireless networks.
- Knowledge of network management tools that utilize SNMP, NetFlow, or equivalent.
- Good understanding of the structure of the Internet and of performance issues including first mile concerns, last mile limitations, and backbone and network issues.
- Good skills in English both written and verbally. Any other language is a plus.
