Solera is looking for an experienced regional account director to join our teamWe are seeking a candidate who wants to join our mission of enhancing the automotive marketplace with solutions that deliver a more efficient, enjoyable customer experience, and meaningful roi for automotive dealersIf you have a track record of success, we are interested in you! the regional account director (rad) is responsible for leading the overall east account team that establishes and maintains relationships with dealers and dealer groupsThis includes fixed and variable sales, marketing, management, and field operationsThe rad supports the account management team, as well as promoting our programs and working with management in support of programs, and to uncover new opportunity within solera products and servicesThe rad is also responsible for day-to-day dealership success, support, and growthThe rad works with the field account managers (fam) and virtual account managers (vam) to position solera as the preferred partner in our product categories by offering early involvement, professional consultative support, and superior customer successThe rad is responsible for employee, client relations, retention, and growthThis position is responsible for interacting with customers contacts to reinforce the solera value proposition, manage and resolve issues, present new solutions and to identify and communicate new opportunities internallyWhat you’ll do
Maintaining high visibility with dealer and group contacts, reinforcing our solutions and performance
Leading discovery and needs assessment meetings for new opportunities
Coordinating and participating in client update meetings
Lead an assigned team of client professionals responsible for delivering service and support, as well as driving incremental usage, sales, and success with solera solutions.
Continually develop and expand client relationships to ensure solera is considered for all relevant partner opportunities
Project management of client initiatives through communication internally and externally of requirements and status updates
Be the solera “expert” regarding client’s programs and initiatives
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure client delivery and support expectations are met
Communicate business needs and challenges to the internal organization to support product strategy and business expansion efforts
Track and manage and exceed account management kpis in retention and growth
Travel expectation of up to 85%
What you’ll bring
Minimum 5 years of account management experience (preferably in the automotive oem industry)
Knowledge of systems and solutions deployed in automotive retail to support sales, and service marketing and operational activities
Proven track record of building relationships with oem dealer key players, and nurturing and growing partnerships
Proven track record of selling and supporting sales and service products in the automotive industry
Understanding of oem structure at both corporate and regional level, dealer group and dealer business models
Professional image and the ability to approach and engage all levels of management at client’s corporate headquarters
Ability to quickly identify, quantify and resolve customer objections, problems and needs in a diplomatic manner
Proven effective communicator
Ability to sit for multiple hours at a time and to work multiple hours a day at a computer keyboard
Ability to remain alert and focused during the workday
