Application engineer- technical lead for software integration
Job description:
We are looking for an engineer familiar with engineering processes and simulation software, who
Has an interest in leading industry in the application of predictive analytics, machine learning, and
Uncertainty quantificationAs an application engineer at smartuq, you will lead smartuq’s
Technical integration efforts with simulation and workflow management toolsYou will collaborate
With clients, commercial partners, and colleagues to understand the use of various partner
Simulation tools focusing on the additional value smartuq can provide to users of those tools.
You will build prototypes for interfacing between simulation tools and smartuq softwareYou
Will work with colleagues to implement your prototypes into release versions of smartuqYou
Will support users by demonstrating solutions, building processes, and deploying smartuq’s
Analytics and probabilistic analysis software at a wide variety of companiesAs an essential part
Of our research and application development efforts, you will generate and document
Demonstration case studies and educational materials for the tools you support.

Responsibilities:
Use software packages such as ansys, comsol multiphysics, msc adams/nastran,
And python in performance of other responsibilities
Develop working proficiency with potentially unfamiliar simulation tools
Engage with commercial partners and prospective customers using engineering
Knowledge and expertise to understand and discuss their tools, engineering processes, and
Challenges
Develop processes and integrations for interfacing smartuq with commercial partner

Identify, create, and document engineering analytics examples using commercial
Simulation tools
Write explanatory materials for marketing, educational outreach, and user guides
Actively support clients and partners to ensure they are getting the best results possible
And troubleshoot issues they may have with process, implementation, or use of smartuq
Software
Responsible for engineering aspects of consulting projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, engineering mechanics,
Aerospace engineering, engineering physics, biomedical engineering or related field
Experience working with cfd/fea packages requiredAnsys workbench, comsol
Multiphysics, or msc adams/nastran/digmat/marc are preferred
Broad knowledge of engineering principles (e.gFluid dynamics, heat transfer, and
Structural mechanics)
Demonstrated understanding of statistics, data analytics, uncertainty quantification,
Machine learning or related topics is a plus
Excellent communication and writing skills
