What you’ll be doing
Managing a team of content designers across multiple projects and business areas.
Provide regular feedback, support, and development opportunities to the designers on your team.
Offering content design guidance and direction on product initiatives.
Ensuring that projects are properly staffed based on scope, skills and timing.
Defining best practices, workflows, and resources that help content design have more impact, and helping set the vision and strategy for our discipline at slack.
Being an active and available craft mentor to other content designers, and partnering in building our positive, collaborative team culture.
Building strong relationships with product design, product management, marketing, and other cross-functional partners.
Driving content design hiring goalsRecruiting and interviewing new content designers, reviewing incoming candidates, and actively improving our hiring process.
What you should have
2+ years of experience managing content designers, content strategists, or product writers.
5+ years* of industry experience in those or related fields, with a demonstrated record of writing successful ux/ui copy with measurable impact.
A portfolio of your (or your team’s) work.
Experience advocating for content design and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, rapid growth environment.
Leadership skills: the ability to give strong, thoughtful feedback, and an active drive to help others improve.
A nuanced understanding of diverse and inclusive hiring practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
