The bid specialist will code, quote and assist sales and sales operations team with onboarding and entering/uploading of company bids and large ordersBid specialist will align and correct system data as needed.
Assist sales teams with aq, excel or prelude coding and quoting of opportunities greater than $250k
Execute all facets of the bid.
Acquire customer and bid specific discounts from vendor and adjust as required.
Collaborate with finance and acquire bid and performance bonds and signatures
Complete bid forms, print and forward bids as needed.
Enter special net orders
Enter bill and hold orders
Create plans to on-board new customers, organize efforts for large orders, execute plans.
Organize and update order guides.
Enter or upload orders and execute as directed for won bids.
Assist data specialists with product enrichment.
Work with other teams, channeling information to appropriate parties.
Understand the full cycle life of a sales order.
Work independently and manage multiple tasks while achieving time sensitive deadlines.
Experience and ability to work cross-functionally among teams and business groups.
Import, export and manipulate data from varied data sourcesIncluding but not limited to prelude, qlik, excel and autoquotes
Accumulate data and organize for other reports.
Assist with response, triage and task execution from requests in sales operations shared mailbox.
Ideal candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:
Education equivalent to a high school diploma or the equivalent in related work experienceBachelor’s degree preferred.
Two or more years’ experience in sales support, sales operations or sales or equivalent related work experience.
Experience in distribution and/or food service-related business preferred, but not required.
The candidate should possess intermediate microsoft word, excel, powerpoint and adobe skills and the capability to learn new programs and sales database systems including sharepoint and other saas systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals and groups of managers, clients and customers.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to work in a disciplined, consistent timely and objective manner and capable of following established policies, procedures and practices.
Ability to plan and organize own activities; analyze data; manage work time efficiently; follow procedures and policies; identify and solve problems; and manage multiple priorities.
Demonstrate the ability to consistently meet deadlines.
