Position summary:
Based in southern california, the territory sales manager (tsm) recruits, qualifies, and develops prospective distribution partners and b2b customers across a variety of business channels for their respective sales territoryThe
Tsm will support existing customers assigned to their portfolio, while also expanding and developing relationships, sales and engagement with the nuova simonelli and victoria arduino brandsThe ideal candidate for this role has 5+ years in a sales executive position, with a strong working knowledge of espresso equipment and the specialty coffee industry.
You enjoy uncovering opportunities, building mutually beneficial relationships, and working with a variety of customers and coffees to achieve exceptional espresso outcomes using advanced equipment and tools.
Major responsibilities/accountabilities:
Responsible for the overall growth and sales development of the assigned territory and accounts within assigned territory
Successfully onboard new customers while being proactive in providing on-going information and support
Qualify all incoming sales leads for brand fitness and clarified business segment.
Work alongside the customer service, marketing, and technical service teams to holistically meet the customer’s needs, run point on communication, and execute to the ongoing operating plan and customer best practices.
Perform ongoing sales prospecting and development activities and support various coffee events within assigned territory to identify and qualify new business opportunities.
Submit regular updates for sales reports, sales forecasting, and ongoing marketplace analysis.
Work to achieve identified sales goals and ongoing company objectives
Coordinate product training information with team to support product awareness, technical knowledge and brand loyalty.
Comfortable making sales calls, presenting to multi-unit accounts and working directly with key decision makers.
Education/experience
Bachelor`s degree in a business-related field.
Minimum of 5 years experience in a sales position
Minimum of 2 years experience in a coffee or coffee equipment sales position may be advantageous.
Knowledge/skills/competencies:
Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills.
Ability to work independently and to manage time effectively.
Fast learner with a “can do” attitude
Reliable, accountable and trust-worthy
Experience with a crm or other sales prospecting platform
Working knowledge of espresso or coffee brewing equipment with a desire to increase understanding
Local travel within the assigned sales region to facilitate product demonstrations, sales meetings and events
