Full job description
The project specialist working in the solutions operations team is responsible for planning for project milestones, setting priorities, and overall coordination of the on-site activities of direct view led (dvled) project installationsThe project specialist is the liaison between solution architects, end users, general contractor, equipment manufacturers, and other project managers within sharp nec display solutionsThis position may be remote with up to 50% travel to project sites as required.
As a project specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the project managers and development of project drawings.
Coordinate project installations and field support issues as needed.
Participate in the actual drafting of the project and take directions from the project manager and / or the project engineer.
Prepare presentation drawings, renderings and sketches and interior design boards.
Assist in developing project documents for bidding and construction.
Provide input to the design and project schedule - communicate the technical implications of design decisions.
Develop and coordinate drawings and written specifications.
Communicate when drawings and specifications are complete and ready to be issued.
Deliver committed documents at the established deadlines and milestones.
Collaborate with project managers and service managers to resolve problems at the project site.
Review project timeline to identify potential conflicts with labor and product availabilityResolve scheduling conflicts as necessary.
Create recommended completion task list before dvled installation can begin.
Notify project manager of any assignments not completed as scheduled.
Ensure adequate installation documentation and processes are in place.
Create and maintain installation recordsDocument any project-specific information to ensure consistent and efficient processes.
Provide support for any tasks required for successful project completion.
Ensure the accuracy of each responsible work segment
Bachelor’s degree in business, communication, or related field
Minimum six months of demonstrated project management experienceProject management certification is a plus.
Ability to use computer-aided design (cad) applications required
3d modeling experience is a plus
Proficient using ms office applications: outlook, excel, powerpoint, project, visio
Experience preparing presentation drawings, renderings, sketches, and interior design boards
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
Self-starter, pro-active with strong interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate and collaborate with multiple levels in the organization including internal and external customers
Understanding of construction industry, audio visual (av) industry or dvled technology is a plus
Ability to travel up to 50%
