Your role at sephora:
As an analyst, crm data science management, on the crm data science analytics team, you will enable our crm journey by telling actionable stories and be a bridge to our stakeholders on the management of our data science analytics (dsa) output (including work from our machine learning (ml) team)Your work will enable crm journeys by building tools and insights that allow us to deliver hyper-personalized content for our clients across the lifecycle and purchase cycle and drive high-value long term behaviors while leveraging data as a strategic assetThis is a unique opportunity to join a team in its youth and influence its direction and impact as we invest in data science and crm capabilities to power sephora’s future growth.
This role will focus on three areas:
Visualization and enabling self-service use of data science analytics output, translating it into understandable stories for our stakeholders to utlize in their day-to-day operations (clv driver dashboard, churn clusters, unified customer view, model health and roi, etc.).
Partnering with data science analytics teammates and product management team to help design, optimize, and automate our existing libraries, models, data requirements, and productionalization of models so that they can be utlized on lifeycle and other marketing campaigns.
Leveraging your expertise in sephora’s client data and self-service visualization to evangelize our ds products and support key programs in collaboration with crm strategy & insights as well as retention, product management, and other analytics teams (e.g.: mab, client 360, etc.).
Visualization/self-service data (40%):
Create and maintain key self-serve dynamic dashboards based on ds output that will allow various roles (ops to strategy) to seek the data needed
Work with product management team to build the optimized data backend which will feed the real-time self-serve data needed for the above dashboards
Produce automated reports based on dashboards to inform key stakeholders of the health of our ds products (crm strat, crm insights, machine learning team, product management, analytics, and retention)
Data science management (60%):
Working with data science analytics colleagues, optimize and automate key models and internal libraries to share with our partners (e.g.: other analytics or marketing teams depending on the product)
Work with the product management and it teams to productionalize key products (self-serve data, internal libraries, models, tables, or other products)
Identify current inefficiencies in our data tech stack (e.g.: data platform, visualization, data workflow management) and propose scalable improvements that are usable across analytics teams and follow data standards to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality
Be a source of knowledge on crm data availability and usage within the data platform and responsible for managing crm data definitions & metadata support
Partner with crm strategy to support key programs that depend on our dsa/ml models and client data (e.g.: mab program, client, global segmentation) by providing insights on the models or data powering them, taking feedback, and make optimization recommendation on either how best to use them or improve them on their roadmap

Quantitative background with at least 2-3 years of analytics, data science, or data engineering, or data visualization
Proficient in python, sql
Experience with databricks, tableau, looker
Fast learner who is eager to dive into the data and learn all its intricacies
Exceptional problem solving and analysis skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills – able to articulate findings that are not always straightforward or intuitive
Intellectual curiosity and willingness to accept feedback
Superb attention to detail
Ability to work within tight deadlines and handle multiple projects
