As a staff software engineer, developer efficiency, you will be responsible for building and innovating best practices and automation at scale and developing enhancements to increase reliability and efficiency for our engineering teams, enabling us to ship fasterIn addition, you will work closely with the engineers and data scientists to understand their needs, pain points and build tools to improve velocity, reliability, efficiency, and visibility.
This is a remote, us-based role.
Responsibilities:
Develop fully automated pipelines for applications that build, deploy and test across multiple environments (dev, sandbox, performance, and prod)
Lead in the adoption of continuous integration, delivery, and automation of platform services
Build and run performance tests on newly developed data science models and help diagnose performance bottlenecks in the platform
Measure and ensure continuous increase in code coverage in automated tests
Implement monitoring tools and dashboards for various services and operations for the platform following the monitoring strategy and tools
Improve visibility into our infrastructure, platform, and applications to identify performance bottlenecks and improvement opportunities
Work closely with the engineering and data science teams for environment support and day-to-day activities
Work with the sre and security teams to maintain up-to-date and secure infrastructure in our cloud environment
Requirements:
10+ years of relevant work experience
Experience working on dev tools or a complex ci/cd pipeline
Ability to identify and solve performance and scalability issues
Deep familiarity with systems and cloud infrastructure
Experience testing backend architecture of large, high-scale apis and web applications is a big plus
Experience with docker, kubernetes, chef, puppet, or similar infrastructure management and automation tools and scripting languages like python or ruby is a plus
Experience with python or golang is a plus
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the united states and must live in the united states
