The director of business development (google marketing) will generate, pursue, and cultivate new business by nurturing relationships with partner sales executives and through search discovery’s direct go-to-market initiativesThis specific role will generate new business through our google marketing platform partnershipThe ultimate measure of success in this role is the ability to build revenue generating relationships, evangelize search discovery’s differentiation, collaborate with others and manage the deal flow to closed business.
What you need to have
7+ years experience in selling digital marketing services, including digital analytics strategy, paid media programs and search engine optimization and more to key stakeholders, including directors, vp, svp and c suite.
Proven ability to articulate the value and business impact of a data-driven approach in digital marketing.
An established network of existing relationships in the digital marketing industry, ideally within google.
Ability to be successful in a remote environment

What you’ll be doing
Generate leads through partner sales executives to evangelize the value of working with search discovery.
Nurture and qualify leads by determining target clients, defining the business problem and challenge, understand what search discovery capabilities, services, and solutions could help, and the timing in which the impact needs to be made.
Coordinate and assess each opportunity by requesting necessary resources needed for pursuit, providing context and guidance to the group, and leading the ongoing effort to quantify needs and build credibility with the client.
Oversee the development of a compelling story and presentation about how search discovery will uniquely solve the client’s problem and impact their businessWork closely with the team in determining the best approach for delivery of the pitch and proposal materials.
Lead the proposal efforts of the deal by collaborating with the team to develop scope, a completed statement of work, estimates, and all other related materials ensuring that everything is properly reviewed and approved before being sent to the prospectYou will be responsible for ensuring everyone on the pursuit stays on track and understands expectations.
The ultimate measure of success is closing dealsYou are responsible for engaging with decision-makers, procurement, legal, etcTo push our proposal and differentiation through the client decision-making system.
Successfully transition new client relationships to our client services team in a healthy state to create opportunities for us to grow the relationship over time.
What you need to achieve
Close $1.5m in new deals through our partnership with google.
Close at least 10 new deals in the first 6 months.
Make measurable traction with google partner representatives that result in new lead opportunities.
