The opportunity
Schunk carbon technology is looking to expand our national sales force and has an opportunity for several motivated regional sales managers who will be responsible for technical sales and business development in both our existing transit markets, and the battery electric market, supporting the bev business development managerThe candidates will work remotely from a home office and participate in online sales meetings, as well as in person throughout the year.
Our electrified vehicle expertise and product offerings for the transit industry range from current collection (pantographs) and ground return systems on rail vehicles to charging systems for electric buses and other vehiclesThe primary manufacturing is performed in wisconsinTypical customers include city transit authorities, oem’s and other manufacturers of products related to mass transits an d battery electric vehicles.
With support from our executive sales team and engineering staff our candidate will identify, develop, and negotiate sales opportunities and direct the preparation and submission of commercial and technical contract proposals for transit productsActively pursue and manage the product testing and validation process, which can extend sales cycles to exceed one yearThis position requires approximately 60% overnight travel including foreign travel.
Prior experience in rail transit or similar industry or engineered products/components sales for high voltage applications is important as well as proven success in sales growth and new account generationEducation in an engineering field or business degree preferred.
