Designer-user experience
As a ux designer, you`ll act as the experience and visual designer for development teams, guiding the direction for customer centric designYou`ll understand customer`s needs and meet with end-users to establish an understanding of their unique needs, research their workflows, and observe our applications being used contextuallyThroughout the design process, you`ll demonstrate your ideas with various levels of finish sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypesYou will work closely with web developers, and ux manager to create easy to use and aesthetically pleasing products for customers to engage with.
Essential functions
The ux/ui designer is responsible for designing user interfaces and visuals and will be expected to collaborate closely with program management, designers, qa and development teams
Produce wireframes, user interfaces, style guides, design prototypes, and design specifications
Conduct acceptance testing on enhancements to existing systems or participates in acceptance testing on new systems
Validate ux design enhancements and solutions by conducting usability testing, evaluating traffic patterns and engagement metrics, and studying user feedback
Review competitor websites or offerings to investigate how to improve consumer engagement with our applications and websites
Develop and implement design strategy and recommendations for additions and enhancements to our digital experience and its infrastructure while balancing business initiatives and technological capabilities
Ability to understand business metrics and translate company goals and objectives into digital experiences
Minimum requirements
3+ years of experience in digital commerce working as a ux designer, content designer, graphic designer or similar role
Direct experience working on b2b and/or b2c ecommerce platforms
Previous design experience in an ecommerce organization or prior agency experience
Ability to establish cross-functional relationships and an understanding of it development and business processes
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
Experience using data-driven insights to inform designs and tests to enhance the shopper journey
Experience with digital analytics (google analytics) and reporting tools
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred or equivalent working experience
Preferred knowledge and skills
Sound knowledge of web and mobile technologies
Web, application or system design experience that will help you conceptualize and create visualization standards into attractive, easily-understood deliverables
Highly detail-oriented and accurate, excellent organizational and time- management skills
Confident, innovative thinking, and a strong sense of initiative
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to adapt and change in creative environments, multitask, and prioritize
Strong organizational, time-management and analytical skills
Problem-solving skills to determine solutions to user interface challenges
Experience with a variety of design and prototyping tools such as illustrator, adobe xd, invision, etc.
Ideal candidate would live in the greenville wi, lombard il, or mansfield oh areasSalary range for this role is $64-85,000
