Full job description
Directly manage 65+ accounts with a focus on growing business and placement of scholastic trade books and klutz products primarily within retail independent bookstores, wholesale/book fair customers, and retail chain books-a-millionThe role will also focus acquiring new business within these channels.
60% of time: prepare and present sales call title presentations to all accounts, plus seasonal previews for larger accounts.
10% of time: trade sales liaison between customer, scholastic ar, customer service and cooperative advertising.
5% of time: represent scholastic at regional trade shows, teacher nights and rep book talks.
5% of time: work directly with publicity department to facilitate author tours.
5% of time: work directly with marketing on promotions tailored for a specific customer base.
5% of time: entering forecasting estimates in poet.
5% of time: provide account feedback and sales analysis to management.
5% of time: attend national sales conference 3 times a year.
