Educational and experience requirement bachelor’s degree with a major in one of the following: business, finance, higher education, computer science, management or related field from an accredited institutionFour years of experience in related fieldAdditional education may be considered in lieu of experience.
Nature & purpose of position assists the director and associate director with various initiatives and objectivesPerforms complex managerial work providing direction and guidance in operations and planning within the department.
Primary responsibilities provides problem analysis and comprehensive assistance to users of the university’s identification card system and incorporated third party software and applicationsAnalyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing systemsProvides guidance and training to immediate staffAssists the director and associate director in student account services operationsParticipates in strategic planningServes as a departmental representative in meetingsManages the extended services provided by the bearkat onecard programServes as the information technology (it) liaison for bearkat onecard servicesProvides oversight to all it operations and services provided and extended services to include event tracking program, cbord and its external applications, and special operations projects such as the departmental websiteProvides technical assistance and support for applications and hardware problems and for information sharing with external entities in a customer service environmentAssists with planning for the effective use of management information systemsAssists in determining the operational, technical, and support requirements for the location, installation, operation, and maintenance of systemsPerforms other related duties as assigned.
