As a payments sales representative, this person will work as an integral part of the sales team to assist new and current software customers to transition to our in-house payment processor, sos payThe payment sales representative will have a proven track record of business-to-business payment sales utilizing a strategic and consultative sales approachThe candidate will also understand the processing industry, its market trends and competition and become familiar with potential clients who do not yet do business with the company.
Demonstrating and selling cloud-based payment processing to small businesses.
Connect with clients to discuss payment processing via email, phone and screen-sharing technology
Function as an expert in the field by demonstrating overall payments industry and market-specific software knowledge
Discuss complex payments industry concepts with clients, including card brand interchange, fees and pricing models
Maintaining crm database and preparing accurate reports
Ability to travel and represent the company at various trade shows and client facing events.
2+ years of experience selling credit card processing products and services
Understanding of credit card industry rules, regulations and pricing models (interchange+, flat rate, tiered, etc.)
Knowledge of the payments ecosystem including payment facilitators
Excellent listening skills to identify merchant’s pain points with existing processing vendor
Experience creating detailed case documentation, instruction documents and how-to guides
