About the opportunity:
Serve as the technical point of contact for accounts in support of sales executives nationally or within a region
Develop a deep understanding of prospects, customer goals and objectives, and articulate how Rockset can help realize their vision
Create and own value-based relationships at all levels with prospects and customers
Actively participate in all phases of planning and execution for your territory, from initial discovery to the technical win
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Rockset to demonstrate its value in sales meetings, and at events such as meetups and conferences
Onboard, educate and enable our partners, and supporting them in sales cycles
Be the voice of the customer and community to communicate needs, gaps, and enhancements to our engineering and leadership teams
Deepen both your sales and technical skills through self-driven education while taking advantage of all the professional development opportunities provided by Rockset
You'd be a great fit, if you have:
Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Strong/recent knowledge of SQL a must!
Development experience a plus (Java, Python, JavaScript, React, D3.js)
Experience with Linux, containers and virtual machines would be nice
Experience with databases, warehouses, cubes & modelling desired
Knowledge and experience with big data architecture on-premise and in cloud
Experience with big data systems like Hadoop, Spark, Elasticsearch, InfluxDB, Cassandra, Snowflake, etc
Experience with streaming platforms such as Kafka and Kinesis
A track record of success in a technical, presales role earning your prospect’s trust
Comfortable leading complex technical conversations with enterprises of all size
Strong written and verbal communication skills to be used across sales, engineering, product and other functional teams
Experience supporting the sales of distributed systems is a plus
