The senior outside sales representative - builders will develop and grow the residential new construction channel through an integrated offering of resideo air, water, security and software solutionsThis role is the front-line to drive sales and generate opportunities with key builder clients and prospects so being able to engage all levels of influencer and guide the adoption of said resideo solutions through a highly consultative sales approach is vitalStrong presentation skills, consistent crm opportunity management, a gravity for teaming, and love for relationship development will also be essential to successThis is a highly visible role that requires comfort with ambiguity, frequent cross-collaboration and the ability to balance details with speed to drive meaningful traction.
Grow your knowledge of resideo products in a team-based culture focused on innovation and customer satisfactionBe viewed as the authority in your field by customersThe senior outside sales representative – builders’ major focus will be with builder clients; but there also will be support of new construction installers as well as architects, engineers and internal peers to support your main customer setThis is a remote position that can sit anywhere in the us with preference for north carolina or virginia.
Engage identified key builder clients and prospect potential new customers.
Attend trade shows, seminars and key customer events.
Campaign management, deployment, and coordination.
Establish a business plan for growth for key builder accounts.
Develop and report accurate sales forecasts across various channels.
Learn the portfolio and their supporting business models.
Conduct best in class reviews and presentations.
Collaborate with company`s sales representatives for account development.
Implement new product introductions.
Regular travel required.
You must have:
High school diploma/ged
5+ years of experience in sales to builders, pro trade contractors, or new construction companies
A proficient understanding of key sales principles and best practices.
Excellent team and communication skills.
An ability to take initiative and work with limited direction.
An ability to influence across a broader organization.
An ability to influence customers, while maintaining healthy relationships.
Significant experience in selling in the builder and multifamily channel.
Technical expertise with ability to navigate technical sales discussions.
