The mechanical design engineer (mde) is responsible for development of new products within the o&ps water business.
Mechanical design engineer implements project design and improvement to existing products in accordance with design plans.
Partner with product managers and product owners to translate market needs into detailed technical specification, evaluate those market needs for technical feasibility.

Job duties:
Responsible for definition of product requirement specification and test plan
Defining, designing, developing, verifying, and supporting development and production of cost-
Effective products.
Coordinate execution of prototypes, evaluate the testing results and improve the product accordingly
Specifies and takes ownership for, as well as performing all activities associated with developing products or/and sub-assemblies from their definition phase into production based on npi process.
Supports innovation, product maintenance and value engineering objectives.
Provide technical support for product management in the development of technical literature
Compliance with standards & regulations
You must have:
Bachelor or master university degree in mechanical engineering disciplines
5 years of experience of designing and developing new products in materials such as plastics, brass, bronze and other metals
Knowledge of processes such as forging, casting, molding, stamping and typical machining operations
Experienced in description of the underlying principles, characteristics, and considerations as applicable to the development, manufacture or use of fluid controls products (valves, filters, actuators...)

Experience of dfx, fmea, gd&t is advantageous
Proficient skills in cad (ptc creo advantageous) to create 2d drawings and 3d models of parts and assemblies.
Preferred knowledge in fluid dynamics, measuring and control technology
Basic knowledge of pdm & erp
Proficient skills in ms-office (excel, word, powerpoint, outlook)
